Regular chimney sweeping (at LEAST once a year) is vital for reducing the risk of a chimney fire and carbon monoxide poisoning.

It is illegal to intentionally destroy active nests, eggs, or disturb breeding birds under the Wildlife & Countryside Act 1981 and we will only remove a birds nest outside of nesting season (September to March).

It’s best to prevent birds nesting in chimneys – it reduces the risk of chimney fires, as well as avoiding injury to the birds and damage to their nest. You can do this by having chimneys swept regularly and by fitting a cowl to the chimney pot to prevent access. 

We inspect your stove (firebricks, rope seals, glass, throat plate/baffle etc) to ensure it is working safely and efficiently.

We can advise and fit new items that require replacement

We can install cowls, bird guards, and caps on your chimney pot if required.
